Turns out, Ty Warner – the billionaire who invented it and all of its Beanie Baby cousins – invested in several hotels in New York, California, and Mexico after his company stopped producing Beanie Babies in 1999.
In July of this year, Las Ventanas Al Paraíso, Warner's five-diamond resort in Los Cabos, Mexico, expanded its luxury travel offerings with the launch of the Ty Warner Mansion, a private 28,000-square-foot estate on the resort grounds. And with a rental rate of $35,000 per night, it's one of the most lavish hotel suites we've come across in a while.
It took five years and five million dollars to design the oceanfront manse, which was decorated by Robert Couturier. From the tequila library and theswimming pool above the master bath to the pizza oven and one of the largest 360-degree gardens in the world, no detail goes untouched. It's a drop dead gorgeous getaway for someone with money to blow.
Guests have a personal staff of seven at their fingertips, including a private chef, an on-call driver and two butlers. A stay at the estate also offers a massage for each guest and a fireworks display upon request.
That's one way to end your vacation with a bang.
